This course targets two essential language skills namely, reading and writing. The latter are viewed as highly complex cognitive skills that need thorough learning and practice to be improved. The course entitled « Reading and Writing » aims at helping the students to develop their reading and writing ability and to acquire the necessary reading and writing strategies that need to be implemented in their learning process to achieve better learning outcomes. The course consists of two chapters. While the first chapter is devoted to the comparison-and-contrast essay as well as reading stratagies, the second chapter focuses on the argumentative essay and reading practice.
